Photographer MY-LINH KUNST has spent more than half her life outside the US; first in her native Vietnam until the age of 12 and then, since 1994, in Europe. Familiar with the expatriate experience, My-Linh's photography often reflects a feeling of being an outsider and observer. Her portraits provide the viewer with a sense of her subjects without invading their privacy. After the birth of her children, My-Linh decided to leave her career in business and turn her passion for photography into a more fulfilling career. My-Linh works as a portrait photographer and believes that her mission is to illuminate the essence of the person while capturing the inner beauty. For My-Linh, good photography is always about individuals and their unique stories. My-Linh currently lives in Germany with her German husband Matthias and their two sons, but she still considers Virginia to be her home. This is her first book and exhibition project.
